Salah

Our Salah of Today, should be better than Yesterdays!

Its something we should all be asking ourselves!

Salah is something we've been practising for 10+ years now Alhumdulillah, yet after all these years, 5 times a Day, how IS our Salah?

Lets look at it this way:

Brothers, how many reps and weights can we now lift?
How much better has our form gotten since we first started doing Squats and Deadlifts?

And Sisters, after the innumerable attempts, haven't you mastered your Winged Eyeliner?
Or how amazing are your cooking and Baking skills since you first started?

Do we see the same progress and improvement in our Salah which we do more in a day than work out, cook or beautify ourselves?

With time, our Tajweed is supposed to get better, instead we read Surahs so fast in Salah that we get absent minded and only know when to go in the Rukoo because we just recited the ending of Surah we keep reading so often.

In all these years, have we understood the meaning of the Surahs we recite?
Are we observing every action of our Salah Properly?

Practice indeed makes Perfect, but HOW we practice it determines WHAT we are perfecting.

If our minds are trained to read Surahs absent mindedly, we'll get better at that and Auzubillah multi task with other thoughts during our Salah.

If we let our Hearts read the Surahs with concentration and focus on every action to be in its proper form, SubhanAllah, our interest in Salah will definitely increase in sha Allah.

Its all a matter of Interest, because we are all Capable of perfecting our Salah, but we're just not that motivated sadly.

My Salah is far from perfect!
But, we should all have one goal in mind:

Our Salah of Today, should be better than Yesterdays!

In sha Allah this will help us perfect our Salah and soon the Salah itself, with its Barakah, will perfect us as the Muslims we should be! :D

O Allah
Help me to remember You, thank You and worship You in the Best of Manners.
Ameen! -
